Quality & Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer

- Location: Brazil (Paraná or Santa Catarina)
- Employment Type: Full-Time Contractor (CNPJ), Remote with up to 50% travel
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead CI projects using Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA, 5S, etc. to optimize processes and reduce waste, focusing on suppliers.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and develop projects to realize them.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Brazil and the U.S. to align on quality and CI strategies.
- Implement and manage quality assurance processes to meet customer and company standards.
- Oversee audits, root cause analyses, and corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including reports and performance metrics.
- Travel up to 50% of the time for project execution and process assessments.
- An Engineering degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Wood, or related fields).
- 5+ years in quality management and CI, preferably in manufacturing; experience in wood industries is a plus.
- Certification or equivalent experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies (preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with tools like PDCA, DMAIC, and FMEA.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English; other languages are a plus.
- Valid Brazilian driver’s license (category B) and willingness to travel frequently.
