Safety and Lean Practitioner

Summary: Laminate Technologies is seeking a Lean/Safety Practitioner who is responsible for leading and coaching others on the process improvement initiatives of Laminate Technologies. This position will also be responsible for analyzing current work practices, operations, systems, and processes and then applying lean principals, tools, and analytics. The goal is to improve on Laminate Technology’s ability to continuously and efficiently meet the quality standards of both Laminate Technologies and our customers. This position is also responsible for assisting in planning, implementing, and coordinating Environmental, Health, and Safety programs within the company. They are responsible for coordinating and assisting with strategies, policies, procedures, implementation, training, and coordination of all environment, health, and safety programs to prevent and correct unsafe working conditions as well as compliance with government regulations and internal policies, rules, and regulations. Position Requirements:
  • Must have an High School Diploma and experience in a similar role.
  • Understand and implement “Best Practices” for lean manufacturing ideologies.
  • Develop and coach teams on lean manufacturing ideologies and methodologies with assistance of other lean team members.
  • Monitor and control lean initiatives ensuring desired outcomes are completed and recorded on appropriate systems.
  • Demonstrate, practice, and be commitment to lean initiatives, goals, standards, and values by setting the example for other members.
  • Assist with installing safety devices on machinery, or direct device installation (may have maintenance technician assistance).
  • Design and develop safety policies, procedures, programs, and systems to ensure the organization complies with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Reports safety performance to management on a monthly basis.
  • Develops safety presentations and presents training material to plant employees on a monthly basis.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, and ability to utilize procurement software.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as directed by your supervisor.
