Job Title: Distribution Sales Manager; Department: Sales; Reports To: President/CEO; EEO Classification: First/Mid Offs & Mgrs; FLSA – Salary, Exempt;  
Summary:
Laminate Technologies Distribution Sales Managers are responsible to prospect and generate new business.  This position requires cold calling on accounts in the field to generate new permanent sales as well as servicing existing accounts, while also performing required selling, costing, technical analysis, quoting activities to achieve continued profitable growth in the Sales department.  
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Manages sales territory and sells LamTech products, generating target levels of revenue, volume, margins, and days outstanding from customer base;
  2. Effectively communicates and negotiates complex sales contracts with customers;
  3. Develop the essential strategic approach for sales with each account;
  4. Report all significant developments & findings to the COO on matters that may impact a customer;
  5. Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of Laminate Technologies capabilities and product offerings;
  6. Direct & coordinate activities involving sales of manufactured products;
  7. Resolve customer complaints regarding sales & services in a timely matter;
  8. Develops volume and revenue forecasts, sales plans, and strategies for achieving desired results;
  9. Follow up with customers on satisfaction and timely resolution of issues;
  10. Quote new business, and update existing items in quote file;
  11. Analyze quotes to ensure accurate pricing;
  12. Establishes and maintains processes that ensure accurate budget and forecast information for the business;
  13. Develop and maintain market awareness and competitive trends;
  14. Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders;
  15. Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests;
  16. Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms;
  17. Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates;
  18. Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support;
  19. Knowledge of principles & methods for showing, promoting, and selling LamTech products;
  20. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Must maintain insurable driving record. Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in a distribution or sales management role within the woodworking, manufacturing, or related industries Strong knowledge of raw materials (PB, MDF, plywood, hardwood plywood), woodworking and woodworking distribution network. Proven experience in managing and growing distribution networks.

Skilled at duties that require; conflict, resolution, handling complaints, and communications in person, by phone, in written form, and email.  Ability to maintain interpersonal relationships, while remaining professional.  Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.

Work Environment:
The work environment is fast pace and involves a high degree of integrity, dependability, self-control, initiative, and stress tolerance.  Ability to adapt to cultural diversity.  Travel 50-75% of the time.
Physical Demands:
The work requires minimal physical exertion such as prolonged sitting.  Periodic periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing and the lifting of objects 20 - 25 lbs. The work may require specific and/or common physical characteristics and abilities such as average agility and dexterity.
